FAQ

What does the lifetime warranty cover?

Every collision repair at 1st Effect Auto is backed by a lifetime workmanship warranty for as long as you own the vehicle. It covers our labor — bodywork, welding, refinishing, and paint adhesion — and the OEM parts we install carry their original manufacturer warranty.

What's covered

  • Bodywork labor (panel alignment, welding, riveting, bonding)
  • Refinishing and paint adhesion on repaired panels
  • Workmanship defects in repairs we performed
  • OEM parts we install — backed by the manufacturer's original warranty

What isn't covered

  • Damage from a subsequent accident or impact
  • Normal wear and tear (stone chips, environmental fallout)
  • Rust or corrosion in areas we did not repair
  • Repairs or modifications performed by another shop
  • Aftermarket parts supplied by the customer or required by an insurance policy

Why a lifetime warranty matters

A repair is only as good as the people who stand behind it. Paint that lifts a year after the job, a panel that misaligns as the car cycles through summer and winter, a sensor that drifts out of calibration — these are things a quick-turn shop won't make right. We will. If something we repaired fails because of our workmanship, bring the vehicle back and we'll fix it at no charge for as long as you own it.

How to make a warranty claim

Call (973) 406-6363 or stop by 325 US-46, Rockaway, NJ. Bring your original repair invoice if you have it; if not, we keep records of every job and can look it up by your name and vehicle.

The warranty transfers only to you, the original owner — it does not pass to a subsequent owner of the vehicle.
